New model park with food and beverage building for the Municipality of Piraeus from PPA SA- COSCO SHIPPING, Gate E12 Piraeus

The project concerns the construction of a recreational park with a playground, bicycle track, a food and beverage building, as well as a parking area for 50 vehicles, within the Piraeus Port area. The area to be developed is located in the Coastal Zone of Ownership of the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA S.A.), specifically in Subzone A (Central Port Cruise Area) of Sector I (Passenger Port Zone), in close proximity to the ancient “Kononian Wall” and the “Palataki Hunting Pavilion”. The project covers an area of 12,250.194 sqm.

The building is arranged in such a way that it opens up to unobstructed views of the sea, facing south and west. The building's orientation and layout provide fragmented views of the park, the port and the Kononian Wall from all areas. The building, with its characteristic curved glass façade which seems suspended, subtly alludes to "sailing." The port, the sea, and the cruise ships are integrated into the composition of the building through the suspension and the flat roof, reminiscent of a deck.
