Reconstruction of Kotronakis Tiling Company Showroom

The central idea for the layout of the tile exhibition space for Kotronakis company was the revelation of the building's structural framework. The surfaces of the framework were left untreated and served as the shell within which linear vertical surfaces were developed in a strict axis system for the display of tiles. This organization helps in better perceiving the characteristics of the tiles, facilitates navigation within the space, helps the comparisons between colors and textures, and allows natural light to enter from the fully glazed side of the building.
